Parents Visa Renewal Dubai

How do parents renew their residency permits in Dubai?

Sponsored by a son, daughter, son-in-law, or daughter-in-law, parents’ or parents’ in-law’s visas may be renewed.

  • You can submit a visa application without going to the immigration department.
  • In the event of approval or modification, the customer will receive an SMS from immigration. Zajel courier will pick up and deliver regular applications. After receiving an SMS confirming clearance, urgent fee-paid applicants should bring the passports of their relatives to Immigration for visa stamping.
  • Amer Typing Center should only be used to pay all fees and fines.

The originals of the documents listed below must be provided for scanning at the typing center.

  • parent(s)’ original passport(s).
  • Original parent(s) medical certificate.
  • Parent(s)’ medical insurance card or certificate.
  • Application for an Emirates ID
  • Original passport and Emirates ID of the sponsor.
  • International Bank Account Number (IBAN) of the applicant (sponsor).
    • Original Electricity Bill & EJARI Certificate. Tenancy Agreement and Electricity Bill certified by Municipality if you reside outside of Dubai. Tenancy/Ejari must be in the applicant’s or the applicant’s spouse’s name.
    • Original Employment Agreement. You can print the labor contract from the MOHRE website or the typing center. Without attestation.
    • Original Salary Certificate (for employees working in a free zone, a semi-government, or the government)
  • A declaration by your consulate that you would look after the sponsored parents and be in charge of their well-being, known as an affidavit (Dependency Certificate). You may include the previous copy you created when you requested the parent(s)’ entry visa. We must scan this affidavit only once in accordance with the GRDRFA’s new Vision program. It will automatically appear when renewing the following year.
  • Deposit of Dh 5,060. You might have paid this sum when you requested the parent(s)’ entry visa. In accordance with the GRDRFA’s new Vision program, we must remit this sum. It will automatically appear when renewing the following year. After your visa has been renewed, you can get your old deposit back from immigration. Attach the receipt if you deposited the money in the new system.Visa stamping Fee for one year: Dh365 to be paid at Amer centre.
  • Pay Dh100 more for expedited visa stamping at the Amer Center.
  • File opening costs Dh210 through Amer Center (typing fees additional). Bring the sticker for scanning if you have previously paid the file opening charge.

Steps to Follow

  1. Application for an Emirates ID must be submitted with the visa renewal form. Fill out a Medical & ID application, then visit an Al Baraha, Sonapur, or Al Qouze EIDA Center near a medical clinic to submit your fingerprints (if necessary). No appointment necessary.
  2. After receiving the medical report, use the Typing Center to submit the visa stamping application.
  3. Within 48 hours of submitting your online application, you will receive an SMS with the subject line “Approved” and the airline bill number.
  4. Normal Application: Take the original passport to the ZAJEL Courier office at Deira Main Post Office, behind MAX, Hamriya, and write the Airway Bill Number on the Submission Receipt. After two days, you can pick up your visa-stamped passport from the same office.
    If you live far from Deira, you can contact ZAJEL Courier at 800 21111 to have them pick up the passport of your dependents from your home or place of business and deliver it back once the visa has been stamped.
  5. Take your passport and submission receipt to the closest immigration branch as soon as you receive the notification “Approved” to get your visa stamped at the same time. The immigration station in Airport Terminal 3 offers 24-hour service.FINE: The visa must be stamped within 30 days of the expiration date. If late, a Dh25 daily fine is due at the typing center. Day one fine is Dh45.
  6. Immigration hours are from Sunday through Thursday, 7:30am–8pm.STEPS FOR AN OLD DEPOSIT REFUND: Visit the refund desk at the Jafliya Immigration Head Office with the original deposit receipts, both the old and the new, and acquire the seal No Objection for Refund on the receipt. Pay Dh20 in service fees at the Dubai Commercial Bank Immigration Brach Counter, then take the cash.
    If you can’t find your deposit receipt, you can receive a new one at the immigration office for Dh70.
